Metalheads - As the years go on, do you find your tastes becoming more or less extreme?

Definitely more extreme. I started off with Blind Guardian, got into folk metal for a few years and that's all I would listen to (and some death metal). I added a plethora of thrash metal to my interests about a year ago and recently I've really been getting into black metal and that's all I'll listen to nowadays pretty much.
