Total renal failure in a Cardiac transplant patient. Life expectancy? Quality of Life? Tranplant possiblities?

A person can only live two years on dialysis. Do you know what's interesting, though? Every seven years, you have new kidneys because the cells renew themselves in that time. I'm very sorry for your brother, I'm sure that's very hard to get through. If he made it through the transplant without any complications (save for the strep,) I'll bet he'll make it out of this and he'll have new kidneys in no time. :)
