To New Yorkers who take the subway?

Well, if you are in Manhattan you should know whether you are going uptown or downtown. Most uptown trains will say Uptown/Bronx or UpTOWN/QUEENS and downtown say Downtown/Brooklyn. Also stop entrances will say uptown only or downtown only. The entrances for uptown are on the east side of avenues and the downtowns are on the west side. At least look at a map so you know North South east and west.
