Do you think that I may have a Mal Practice suit?

On June 12th, I had a total hysterectomy. Everything seemed to have gone well. I I then, after 5 days started to feel very bad. I had a very smelly discharge, could hardly walk, diarreah, constipation, diarreah, constipation, back and forth. I went to the emergency room and was told that I had bad gas. I was given gas pills and told to take the vicodin and motrin together. I didn't want to take the vicodin because I am in recovery. They told me that if I didn't take them I would not get better. I went home and got worse. Long story short, I went back to the hospital and had a abcess and pelvic infection. The center for infectious diseases was called in and because the hospital didn't know how to treat my infection .I was put on 3 different types of antibiotics and spent five days in the hospital. The Surgeon was overly accomodating. I feel that this took place in the operating room and need advice on what to do next. Thank you in advance for your answer.
