Is it okay to sound like "his MOM" :S i no this is stupid PLZ HELP?

hello, just try not to come across like his mom or bossy, try and be subtle with him n maybe say you gotta do/catch up on some work and suggest that he finishes his ignment then you will call him once your done, i hope this helps.
