Is the person I'm Dating ready for a relationship?

Okay so ive been talking to this guy for three months and now we have been dating a week. He is simply amazing he says the sweetest things, hes caring, he listens, he knows when im upset, hes attentive... and so much more like I said hes amazing. But he does the weirdest things like the first time we hung out we were playing Sorry and I was like I want blue its my favorite color and he was like yellow is Mary's favorite color... his ex... and my heart kind of dropped because it hurt me in a way. Then we'll be on the phone and he'll tell me stories about stupid things his ex got mad about or his ex's mom and stuff like that. But that all is kind of normal minus the yellow is her fav color thing... okay so today we were talking about prom and the corsage and boutonniere part specifically and he tells me that the boutinniere his ex gave him was still sitting on his desk and he should probally throw it away but he didn't know... okay so my heart sank again and it hurt again... he broke up with her in september of 09'...HELP??!!
